Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Gifyard Android application. By installing or using the app, you confirm you are at least 13 years of age and accept these Terms in full. If you are under 18, you confirm you have parental consent.

Gifyard converts GIF files to MP4 videos and MP4 videos to GIF files. All conversion is performed locally on your Android device using the FFmpeg library. The app also offers bulk conversion (batch processing of multiple files), conversion history, and optional Pro features via in-app purchase. We do not process your files on any server — your files never leave your device.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Gifyard on Android devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may NOT: • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the app • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app • Remove or circumvent watermarks on free-tier exports • Use the app to convert copyrighted material you do not own • Use the app for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to access or interfere with the app's security features

Gifyard offers optional Pro features via Google Play Billing: Pro Lifetime (₹199 one-time): Permanent Pro access on your Google account. Non-refundable after 48 hours of purchase except as required by applicable law. Pro Monthly (₹99/month): Auto-renewing monthly subscription. First month available at ₹29 (intro offer for new subscribers). Automatically transitions to ₹99/month. Cancel anytime via Google Play → Subscriptions before the renewal date. All payments are processed by Google Play. NexDee does not receive or store your payment information. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy at: support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637

The free tier displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free tier, you consent to AdMob collecting data as described in our Privacy Policy. Pro subscribers do not see any advertisements — AdMob is completely disabled for Pro users. We do not control which ads AdMob displays.

Gifyard requests only the permissions necessary for its core function. All permissions are explained in detail in our Privacy Policy. In summary: INTERNET: Required for Play Billing, AdMob ads, and In-App Review only. Not used for file conversion. ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Read-only check for AdMob connectivity. No data transmitted. FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC: Keeps bulk conversion running when the app is in the background. No data transmitted. POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Shows conversion progress and completion notifications. Requested only when you start your first conversion. The app uses Android Photo Picker for file access — no broad storage permissions.

You are solely responsible for: • Files you select and convert using the app • Ensuring you have legal rights to convert any file • Compliance with applicable copyright laws in your jurisdiction • Any content you share or export using the app You must not use the app to convert or distribute: • Content that infringes copyright or intellectual property rights • Illegal, harmful, defamatory, or obscene content • Content that violates any applicable law

The Gifyard app, including its source code, design, branding, and the name "Gifyard," are owned by NexDee (G Shreeniketh) and protected by copyright and trademark law. The app uses open-source libraries including FFmpegKit (LGPL), Jetpack Compose (Apache 2.0), Coil (Apache 2.0), Room (Apache 2.0), and Hilt (Apache 2.0). Their licenses are viewable in the app under Settings → Open Source Licenses.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: • The app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements • Conversion results will be identical in quality to the original files • The app will be compatible with every Android device or OS version • Third-party services (AdMob, Firebase, Google Play) will be continuously available TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXDEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR FILES.

We may terminate your license to use the app immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases. Pro purchase amounts are non-refundable upon termination for Terms violations. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the app.

We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. For significant changes, we will update the app changelog (Settings → Version). Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
